Reverse My Part is a service provider for engineering challenges.
Our company consists of professional mechanical engineers with practical manufacturing experience, stemming from array of industries. Collectively we have over 20 years of experience in design and CAD engineering.
We leverage 3D laser scanning technology to collect precise data off any physical surface to ensure the files we deliver are exact and correct, the first time.
This text briefly introduces your values to your visitors and tells them what sets you apart from the competition.
With a team of design engineers specializing in manufacturing, CAD file development, and product design, we possess extensive real-world experience, enabling us to optimize all designs for maximum profitability and efficiency.
We streamline project workflows, surpassing the speed of our competitors. Working directly with our clients, each project is tailored to its goals with a thorough discussion of the results, tolerances, and deliverables that are needed to ensure and alignment from the start.
By specializing in reverse engineering any pre-existing surface to collect data that supports CAD file creation. We can provide you with the raw data or offer consultation on a product development plan. Through our process of scanning, reverse engineering, and designing, we have developed a robust design formula.

Our 3D scan services are able to record data on any existing, physical surface. A series of lasers detect various critical objectives with complex geometries. From there mesh data is used to redraw the part in 3D to be converted to a CAD file.
We deliver all reverse engineering files in universally compatible formats, including STEP, IGES, and XT. These files are readily adaptable for programming across a broad range of manufacturing processes, including machining, laser cutting, injection molding, forming, and more.
It is best to send multiple photos of your project, highlighting the important details and geometries that are critical in the design.
From there we will quote the hours needed to reverse engineer, scan, and advise on any challenges beforehand. Estimates are under no obligation.
You do. We do not sell or share clients files and the data created is delivered in STEP, IGES, and XT. These files are completely modifiable. If you need native SolidWorks files, we do offer another price point for the feature tree.
3D laser scanning operates using laser triangulation. The process begins by placing reflective targets on the object to be scanned. The scanner projects lasers onto these targets, which reflect back to the scanner. Between these targets, the scanner generates a digital mesh that captures various surfaces, dimensions, and features. This scan data is then used to create a comprehensive 3D model of the object.
Tangent Solutions’ main office is located in Irvine, in the heart of Orange County, Southern California. Our services are available to both domestic and international clients, as our technology is fully mobile. A technician can arrive on-site to scan multiple projects of any size.
Yes, this is how most clients use our services and also we are able to service projects throughout the United States. FedEx and UPS are preferred.
This depends upon your project goals. We work with a wide variety of vendors including laser cutting, machining, thermo molding, injection molding, 3D printers, and more. Our engineers can advise on which process is best for your project.
